Audi A4 vehicles
Audi A4 is a D-class sedan with a front-or all-wheel drive, its restyled fourth-generation model was presented in fall 2011.
Designers from Ingolstadt refreshed the A4 exterior by face-lifting the grille, front bumper, taillights and other exterior elements. As the result the vehicle got 0.39 inches shorter (185 inches) while other dimensions did not change. Inside A4 driver got better control of the steering wheel, multimedia complex, navigation and other systems. In addition, Germans flavored the interior trim with new combinations of colors and materials.
Audi paid a lot of attention to power trains. After restyling turbo diesel 2.0 TDI got two extra boost options - at 136 and 163 hp, while the most powerful trims develop 177 "horses" and 380 Nm of torque.
As for petrol engines of Audi A4, the main surprise is the replacement of the 1.8-liter turbocharged TFSI with the engine unit of the same architecture, but a bit more technological. It is equipped with a combined fuel injection valve lift adjustment system, a modified turbocharger, as well as the exhaust manifold integrated into the cylinder block. All this made it possible to "squeeze" 170 hp off the engine and 380 Nm of torque. In a combined cycle the engine consumes 2.4 gal/100mi. The result was achieved as all Avant editions, regardless of the engine type and boosts options, are equipped with the "Start-Stop" and regenerative braking.
All front-wheel drive trims of the A4 have the basic kit with a 6-speed manual transmission. Multitronic CVT can be ordered as an option, and a 7-speed robotic S tronic Gearbox is only available in all-wheel drive modifications.
