Up to the present date, Chrysler crossfire still looks stunning. Chrysler Crossfire was a hybrid born from the cooperation with Daimler Benz. Production of the model ceased in 2007, but this is not a car to write off.
In 2004 the Chrysler Crossfire came into mass production after it was showcased in 2002 as a concept car. The second version succeeded in 2005, and there were two versions available. Chrysler Crossfire coupe and Chrysler crossfire roadster had almost the same features. Later on, the SRT-6 came through, and it combined two styles which were the coupe style and the convertible style. Power was also considered, and this is why the engine of SRT-6 was supercharged. More changes were made to enhance the performance especially the braking and suspension system. SRT-6 became limited in production from 2006, so you had to make a special order.
Every Chrysler crossfire has a 3.2-liter V6 engine expect the SRT-6 with a 3.2-liter supercharged V6 engine. The first versions of the Chrysler Crossfire, the coupe and roadster have 215 horsepower. In addition to that, the 0-60 acceleration time is about 6.4 seconds for the manual version. The SRT-6 is in another level; a 330 horsepower is what it offers you. When it comes to the 0-60 acceleration time, the Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 hits that bar in 4.8 seconds. The Chrysler crossfire which is a two-seater car and is more maneuver during parking.
Style and elegance are emphasized by the two sized wheels. The rear wheels are 18’’ whereas the front wheels are 19’’, this gives it a fine slant design. The rear of the Chrysler crossfire has a unique ‘boat tail’ shape which is uncommon for many cars. Moreover, the chassis is stiff, and this brings in excellent support and good mechanical grip. You will feel the stability when driving it which is more than comforting. Furthermore, it is 1380kgs which is a good weight for such a car.
The brighter side of the Chrysler Crossfire is the safety. It is reinforced with inbuilt electric programs to cover security when parking and even in driving mode. The performance is also excellent compared to other sports cars produced in 2004.
The Drawback of the Chrysler Crossfire is the expensive costs of the spare parts. Servicing could also be costly leaving a dent in your wallet or purse. Noise is another setback that could be pissing you off as the motor is loud and the rear spoiler is vociferous during retraction.
