2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV 6 sec, 14.7 @ 97

The 2018 Cadillac Escalade is a true definition of luxury. Based on GM’s SUV platform, the Escalade comes on top of the Yukon and Tahoe twins. There’s more power, more standard qualities, more style and more optional features.
The latest Escalade packs a 6.2-litre V8 that churns 420 hp and a stunning 460 lb-ft of torque. The all-new 10-speed automatic transmission comes with an EPA estimate of 14/23 mpg highway fuel economy. This is with the rear-wheel drive. On four-wheel drive, the measurement hits 14/21 mpg. There’s an extended-wheel version - the ESV - that comes with an additional 14-inch wheelbase, third row and cargo area. The 2015 Platinum (4WD) hits the 60mph mark in just 5.9 seconds and requires braking distance of about 133 feet from 60mph. It’s towing capacity ranges between 7,900 and 8300 pounds.

Despite weighing more than 2.5 tons, the latest Escalade Platinum gets from 0-60mph in 5.8 seconds. This is 0.7 seconds, 0.4 seconds and 1.4 seconds quicker than the Lincoln Navigator, Infiniti QX80 and Lexus LX 570 respectively. The Escalade ESV and its brother, the Escalade, can tow up to 8100 pounds (8300 for the Escalade). This could be a camper, a track-prepped Acura Integra or a boat. When it comes to visual impression, the Escalade speaks for itself.
Since 1966, Cadillac has always offered more style than we could ever ask for. It makes a big statement, whether you choose the standard length or the one with the longer wheel-base. The ESV comes with 39 cubic feet of space in its trunk. The Escalade offers only 15 cubic feet. The ESV also shines by offering third-row passengers better legroom, of up to 34.5 inches.

The Cadillac Escalade comes equipped with standard features such as an 8.0-inch screen, Magnetic Ride Control, 16-speaker Bose Centerpoint surround sound audio system, Cadillac’s CUE infotainment system, heavy-duty towing package, five USB ports, leather upholstery, OnStar with Wi-Fi hotspot and 4G LTE, LED head and taillights, heated steering wheel, hands-free liftgate, interior ambient lighting, cooled and heated 12-way power front seats and 20-inch chrome wheels.

The Radiant package adds a polished exhaust tip, silver Galvano surround grille and 22-inch split-spoke chrome wheels. The Platinum trim will have Cadillac customers enjoying some of the most luxurious features available. These include 22-inch premium wheels, two 7.0-inch rear screens, premium floor mats, Mulan leather for the third-row seats and Semi-Aniline for the first two rows, center console cooler, leather-wrapped console, upper door trim and instrument panel, illuminated Platinum door sills, power-retractable running boards,  18-way power adjustable front massaging seats and sueded-microfiber door pillar and headliner trim.

The latest Escalade is one of the fastest full-size SUVs on the market today. The bigger version hits 60mph in 6.1 seconds with the shorter wheel-based doing under 6. It’s intimidating, handsome, spacious, luxurious, comfortable and handles impressively for such a huge truck. It looks like a huge chunk of cash and every model picks up from where the last one left.
