Audi Q5 competitors' 0-60 mph acceleration

If you want a car which certainly looks ‘the part’, then you won’t get much better than the Audi Q5. This stylish vehicle is absolutely stunning. People are going to be turning their eyes everywhere you go…and that is before you even start to think about the wealth of features that Audi has managed to put into it.

Audi Q5

The Audi Q5 0-60 comes in at a slightly cool 5.8 seconds, with the quarter mile coming in at a shade under 14 seconds dependent on conditions. Basically; the acceleration on this thing, for a road car, is pretty decent.

This is all down to the addition of the 3.0 TDI 286 engine packed into it. It can pack a real punch at 282bhp. The base model of the car comes equipped with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, and it always seems to get it ‘right’. This creates the ultimate smooth driving experience.

As with most Audi cars, the Audi Q5 is available with two different engine types. While many people do not opt for it, without a doubt the best engine for this vehicle is the diesel option, although that only has a seven-speed gearbox. It does create an even smoother driving experience, and it is nowhere near as loud as you may think.

Exterior and Exterior

No matter what version of the Q5 you are purchasing, you are going to have an adjustable driver’s seat (height), and that is fantastic. It means that you can really set the way you want to sit in the vehicle. If you want some upgrades, then you can get some sports seats which have a fantastic ‘grip’ for those who will be traveling at high speeds for long periods of time.

As with most Audi vehicles nowadays, the Audi Q5 has electronic instrument dials built into it, and boy are they going to be easy to read. In fact, the whole dashboard, even if you ignore the electronic instrument dials, is incredibly well-built and looks fantastic. Everything is just so well-built.

Interestingly; you are not going to need to pay for an upgrade if you want leather seats in your vehicle. Even if you purchase the base model of the car, you will be able to enjoy part leather seats which are incredibly comfortable to sit on.

You also have a surprising amount of space for your backseat passengers, although we are willing to wager that the majority of people who are using the Audi Q5 are not going to be ferrying passengers around most of the time. If you are, then go for the Rear Bench Seat Plus upgrade. This gives your passengers even more space in the vehicle, which will create a smoother driving experience for them.

Conclusion

The Audi Q5 is Audi’s answer to the GLC-Class from Mercedes Benz and the X3 from BMW, and in a lot of ways, it is the better vehicle, mainly if you are looking for the all-wheel drive. You have plenty of space inside, and the acceleration is so smooth it will make you cry. This is a fantastic car.
