Acura TSX vehicles
Acura TSX is a D-class luxury sedan with a front-wheel drive, an American version of Honda Accord. The restyled edition of the second-generation model was presented at the motor show in Los Angeles in November 2011.
To be candid, it is hard to call this Acura TSX a restyled edition after only the front bumper was changed incorporating different cuts for fog lights and the grille got calmer. The interior of the vehicle also underwent minimum changes.
Acura TSX is still based on the platform with McPherson struts in the front suspension and multi-link rear construction. The Japanese chose not to reconfigure anything, improving sound isolation instead. In particular, the floor was covered with new sound absorbing mats; also they reduced noise from the windshield and installed thicker side glass.
TSX power units’ lineup remained the same, but the engineers were able to reduce losses from the friction between engine parts, making them more efficient and durable. TSX’s 2.4-liter engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 5-band "automatic" develops 201 hp at 7000 rpm.
Acura produced a special edition of TSX for the 2012 model, available only with a manual transmission. The TSX exterior is decorated with more aggressive bumpers, resembling the style of the old coupe RSX, special thresholds and Special Edition inscription on the trunk lid. Inside you will find the suede inserts on the seats, aluminum pedals and red stitching on the gearshift lever, steering wheel and other interior details.
