Introduction

Upgrading of the Hyundai Elantra in 2017 gave it a new look and increased the market value of the car. The interior features were also upgraded and equipped with the latest technology that is better adapted for interaction.

0-60 engine specs

Models have different engine specifications. Elantra GT has a characteristic of two engines while the Elantra sedan has triple. Amount of power is automatic different with Elantra GT being more potent by producing 162horsepower and 150-pound-feet torque.

The common thing in both models is the 6-speed manual transmission that is known for conserving energy. Similarly, they both have a 2.0litre with four cylinders type of engine. On the other hand, Elantra Eco Sedan has a seven-speed dual clutch automatic. Speed can pick up from zero to sixty miles per hour at roughly 7.5seconds.

Elantra drives well and stable in both rough and smooth roads. The wheels are 17inches wide. The brakes are not one of the best, but they function averagely.

Exterior and Interior

The sedan has a grille that is wide and very noticeable; Daytime LED running lights are present. At the back of the sedan, three lights complement its shape with a deck lid finish. Elantra GT has large grille which has a trapezium shape, the shape of the headlights differ from that of a sedan.

The interior has a visually appealing display. The touch-screen is placed at the center but more lenient to the driver’s seat to allow easy access when driving. Two seats at the front are the most comfortable with a lot of cushioning and a relaxed back posture.  The co-driver has plenty of storage options, unlike the back seats. A new model of Elantra is more length than the previous models. The wideness of the car seems to be the same as the old versions.

The roof is high giving enough headroom for most people who are considered to be tall. The length of the car has given more room for the back sitters’ legs. The old version car did not have this kind of space.

Cargo area is relatively big with an optional seat which can be folded for more passengers to pop in. Life has been made easier when opening the cargo area, and automatic gesture control is used to open the trunk. Despite the small differences in the models, their performance is almost similar.

Verdict

The new version of the Elantra has taken the car industry to another level. Latest headlights with classy shapes have been put to make the exterior look so lovely at night time. The engine produces power that can be better than a car that has three engines and a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. You get a variety of options in one car; you can decide to go the manual way or automatic way.

Technology has been changing over time. Things have been made easier and entertaining by the new technology. Elantra can allow installation of applications like the apple car play. The ability to install applications gives you the opportunity to personalize the car.
