The tenth generation of the Honda Accord (2017) is lighter, stiffer and more dynamic. The new Honda Accord (2017) is under a tremendous success, its predecessor between 2013 and 2016 was the best-selling mid-class mousine in the United States. That is why, at the presentation on July 14, 2017, the Japanese demonstrated a middle class with the latest design gadgets. It is therefore not by chance that the Accord is reminiscent of the likewise completely new Civic, but also the equally very young Clarity Fuel Cell.

The design of the new middle class compare the Japanese with a "" sprinter in the starting block ". Strict, slit-shaped, full-LED headlights extend diagonally into the radiator grille, a massive aluminum strip framing the Honda emblem. The rear shows parallels to the Si called Civic Coupé, the LED taillights split towards the center of the tailgate. On the side there is a sharp bend edge, the windows lead in a taut arc from front to back. With the change of model the Accord is 5.5 centimeters longer, 1.5 centimeters flat and one centimeter wider, at the same time the track grew into the width and the driver sits deeper. Due to the increased dimensions, the Honda Accord (2017) also offers five centimeters more legroom in the second row. Engine and Chassis: Honda is committed to motorsports - and wanted to make sure that the Accord says: With its sensitive steering, the crisp shift and the taut but still comfortable chassis, the car can also convince the vehicle dynamically.

The powerful 2.2-liter diesel with 180 hp fits well. It has been available since the Facelift 2011, it is only available in the equipment variant "Type S", which also includes bi-xenon curve light and partial leather seats. According to Honda, the drive should be satisfied with 5.6 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers despite the respectable performance, but in the Praxistest it turned out to be thirstier. However, the smaller diesel version, a 2.2-liter engine with 150 hp, was bought more frequently. Also two gasoline engines with smooth two or 2.4 liters and 156 or 201 HP are available. Instead of the six-speed manual gearbox, there is also an automatic system with five steps for all engines except the large diesel.

The Accord's four-cylinder engine makes all-round enjoyment, a kind of all-rounder, which gives sovereignty with its sonorous running noise of its almost 1.5-ton body. The very precise six-speed gearbox does one thing to make the dynamic part a pleasure. It is not only the effective driving performance, such as the acceleration: from 0 to 60 miles in just 5.6 seconds. It is still more the spontaneity with which the four-valve is attached to the gas. Running speed and rotational power of the engine are considerable, only beyond 6000 tours does it change the pitch of sonor in loud.
