The Audi A5 is an upgrade to the Audi A4, one of the more popular coupes that the company was producing. However, until you start to look under the hood of the car, you are going to struggle to tell that this is the case. This is because it looks exactly like the Audi A4, bars a couple of small changes. So, if you love the look of the Audi A4, then this car may be for you. There are huge changes which make it worth buying too, such as the 60KG weight saving on the previous car in the line.

Audi A5 0-60

The Audi A5 0-60 is around the 5-second mark, with the quarter mile being 13 seconds. This is not too shabby for a car which was not really designed for speed in the first place, something which very few Audi cars are.

It is able to accomplish this 0-60 acceleration speed through its 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, basically the same type of engine that you are going to find in any Audi vehicle nowadays. It proudly boasts 252 horsepower, which is a whopping amount of power. Don’t worry; it is not a gas guzzler. On the highway, you should be able to get a cool 34MPG from the vehicle. Not the highest MPG for an Audi, but certainly nothing to turn your nose up at.

The Audi A5 is certainly not the smoothest of driving Audis out there, although it is not designed to be. That being said, there are plenty of features packed into the vehicle which have been designed to make your rise experience that much better. For example; active suspension (this is an extra for the vehicle), and Dynamic Mode. This is a vehicle which performs best when you are traveling straight along the roads. It is top-notch.

Exterior & Interior

Interestingly, the inside of the car is very much like a scaled down A4 saloon car. We know there are some people out there who are going to claim that this is a bad thing, but it really is not. The A4 dash is an award-winning design, and it works well even when slimmed down.

As with most cars like this, the seats in the back do exist, but they are going to be a bit cramped. Not so much in terms of leg room, but more the fact that you are suffering from a lack of headspace. Probably not ideal if you are a sufferer of claustrophobia.

What the backseats lack, the trunk gains, though. There are 11.6 cubic feet of space here, which should be enough space for even those longer trips.

Conclusion

This is one of the cheaper vehicles coming from Audi at the moment, which is nice because it certainly looks good. However, as with all new vehicles, the listed price can be misleading. If you want the best features packed into the vehicle, which is highly recommended, then you will need to shell out more cash.
